| CHARLEMAGNE-Technically known as Carolingian, this lettering style is the immediate precursor to our own lowercase letters. As you may well know by now, I also enjoy writing this style for it's historical significance. I always feel as if a French monk is going to start running around and organize my studio. | PROVINCIAL- I don't really like categorizing this one here but it's too eclectic to put anywhere else. It has the upright stature and angles of the gothic styles but is too pretty to be considered "grotesque." Click on the picture for a better image. | ||||||||||
